Recent Action at the Doubledays!

Haha!  Fooled you!  There isn't much going on these days except an excessive amount of unpacking and organizing our lives!  We moved into Sister Belinda Moriarty's house.  It's a beautiful 3 bed/2 bath rambler.  Very open and perfect for us!  You all know where to come when you head down to Disney.  :)

Amy is currently looking for a part time/seasonal job for the summer before starting school at University of Central Florida where she will be pursuing her Master's degree in Social Work.  Unfortunately for her she gets to take a stupid statistics class during her Fall semester, a preq she didn't fulfill prior to applying.

Josh has introduced Amy to World of Warcraft.  An activity they both like to enjoy.  They just recently invested in a Wii Fit. Oh what fun! 

So, just little things going on, but we are living it large!  Have a great day.

Josh and I really enjoyed both receptions. 
Here's a picture from NC with us eating cake.  It turned out to be REALLY pretty and I enjoyed it alot.  We were so blessed by the attendance at both and the lovely gifts!

Engagement Photos

This past week was so crazy! I flew down last Sunday and spent four short days in Florida. We planned and registered at Macy's and Target. The last day I was there, we took photos at Bok Gardens in Florida. It was a really pretty and we got some great shots. I'm really excited for things to continue working out the way they are. We are truely blessed!

Date and Location Change

Josh and I have decided that we are changing our wedding date to 5 May 2010! We will be married in the Washington DC Temple. The wedding will be at 2pm. We will be having a NC reception the following Saturday, put on by my folks (niels and joanne) and the next Saturday, 15 May 2010 we will be having a reception in Florida put on by his folks (marie and dave). We're super excited for this turn of events and hope that we will be able to have as much of our family there as possible. Love you!!!

He proposes!!!

On Tuesday 9th of February, Josh and I went to the Orlando Temple to do temple work for his family. It was so so exciting! We had just gone to Bob Evan's with his wonderful parents, Marie and Dave. No one knew what Josh had planned (not even Josh...I think!). It was a little rainy, but Marie really wanted to take some pictures in front of the temple. Fortunate for us, the Orlando temple has a nice overhang protecting us from the rain. As we posed, Josh said, "Wait, I need to get something from my bag!" As I stood there watching I wondered what was going on. I turned to face him and as I did so, he turned to face me, on bended knee, with a beautiful ring in his hand. He asked me, "Amy, will you marry me?" I was so stunned! I said, "yes! yes....absolutely!" Pulling him up, we kissed and took some pictures together. So exciting.

So there it is...the special and amazing and wonderful proposal. I am so thankful for Josh and his love!

We've officially set our date for June 3rd. We are getting married for all time and eternity in the Seattle temple. We will have a reception in Stanwood, Washington June 5th, Charlotte, North Carolina June 12th and Davenport, Florida June 19th. Details will follow, please visit our blog regularly for updates!
